Auckland Art Week - Part 2

Last week they were making books and 70's style nail and string art pieces, this week they're making dioramas and wind trees. I used to love making dioramas when I was a kid! I would pour over those little shoe box worlds until I'd have to be forced into doing my dumb maths homework.

On Thursday at The Wynyard Quarter you can make a "kinetic sculpture" out of recycled and repurposed materials. The workshop is from 1 - 4  and the inspiration is Michio Ihara's Wind Tree sculpture near the playground.

Then on Friday afternoon you can make sea inspired dioramas!

These workshops are both free and will go ahead rain or shine, perfect if this weather doesn't get any better.
